Mostrami announces the opening of a Call for artists to select a group of ten European contemporary artists (painters, sculptors, photographers, street-artists and video-artists). We are now organizing our MostraEvento VIII about the valorization of women and gender equality, considering not only Italy, but also the other European countries.
Mostrami 8 will take place in a very nice location in the center of Milan.
The young and emerging candidate own artworks should talk about women, and their valorization in different European and/or Italian cultures and identities.
Mostrami VIII (eight) will be a group exhibit and a factory, called Mostrami Factory: the artist will expose in a 5 days exhibition, and during this period, the exhibition area will become a fluid place for showing and producing, discussions and thinking about the role of women. The show and the Mostrami Factory will be located in Milan.
The project is co-financed by Regione Lombardia (Lombardy Region) and would enlighten the role of women and their valorization through contemporary art. During the period of the exhibition, there will be also testimonials and workshops that will encourage the discussion about the topic.
Who can apply:
The candidates are European or artists who live in a European country, young and emerging painters, sculptors, photographers, street-artists and video-artists. The project will refund the travel costs and the accommodation costs for artists that live outside Lombardy.
The topic:
The women and their valorization. Mostrami has been already involved with women valorization during the Sixth MostraEvento; but in Sixth Mostrami, we will talk about it in a multicultural way, focusing also about the role of women in different identities and cultures.
