MostraMi: 20 artists e 100 artworks for charity
Only a few days to go until the first MostraMi project's event during which 20 emerging artists will exhibit a selection of their works in the Sala delle Esposizioni of Palazzo Giureconsulti, in Milan.
Milan, October 7, 2010. The first MostraMi project's event is set for next Saturday, October 16, its aim is to spread the visual arts world (painting, sculpture and photography) among young people, make emerging artists known to the local public and, last but not least, do charity.
In fact, the day will provide the opportunity for all those who will be there, to express an evaluation on the artworks on display and make a purchase option on the preferred ones. The highest bid will win the artwork.
The 50% of the remuneration collected by the artist will be donated to charity through the Onlus "Insieme per i Bambini" and "CasAmica Onlus".
The charity project is ambitious: the sum of money raised will be used for the construction of accommodations dedicated to the reception of 12 children accompanied by their parents who come to Milan to obtain medical treatments impossible to have elsewhere and carried out in day hospital. The address of the structure is Via S. Achilleo n. 4 in Milan.
The day of the 16th will be divided into two parts: an exhibition with free admission from 9.00 to 18.00, and an invitation-only opening from 18.00 to 20.00.
MostraMi is a new non-profit artistic-cultural project created to give online and offline visibility to emerging artists and young talents in the field of painting, sculpture and photography. This is made possible thanks to a web platform (www.mostra-mi.it) to which all young artists can register for maximum visibility, and to participate in a series of exhibitions / promotional events in which selected artists' pieces, present on the platform, are displayed. The aim is to assure more local visibility so that the artists can forge relationships with galleries and patrons of the territory.
