?S?io m?intuassi, come tu t?immii?

Group exhibition of young artists

From November 9 to December 10, 2018 was held the group exhibition ?S?io m?intuassi, come tu t?immii?, which exhibited the works of 15 young artists at Mostrami Factory @ Fabbrica del Vapore. The theme that has been chosen is that of the enhancement of diversity, which even today seems to be urgent and timely in our country. The title of the exhibition ?S?io m?intuassi, come tu t?immii? takes its cue from Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, in particular from verse 81 of Canto IX of Paradise, which goes to the root of the problem of acceptance of the different, which arises from the inability to empathize in the thoughts of the other person and to increase themselves by the recognition of differences and similarities.

Mostrami has chosen to analyze this theme through art, as a privileged tool of openness and dialogue, because in a society with an increasingly multi-ethnic character the management and exploitation of diversity has become of priority importance, due to the strong psychological, social and economic implications for all the individuals who are part of it. The recognition of human rights and the adoption of inclusion instruments are therefore the preferred way to combat the differences in treatment that still exist on the basis of gender, ethnicity, disability and sexual orientation. Diversity management is based on the capacity to create synergies, namely: to exploit the specificities of each and to transform differences into richness.

The group exhibition opened on 9 November 9, 2018 on the Freedom Day as a reminder of the demolition of the Berlin Wall as a point of reflection on the need for an inclusive perspective, that knocks down the walls erected against those who are believed " different"; and it ended on December 10, 2018on the anniversary of the 70 years of the Universal Declaration of human rights signed in 1948 in Paris to enshrine the rights that belong to every living being.

Here is the list of artists who participated in the exhibition:

Alraune Teatro, Simon Bcc, Silvia Bellu, Francesco Bendini, Flavia Bucci, Lex Rosas, Franck Calard, Alessandro D?Aquila, Yelena Milanesi, Shoko Okumura, Carole Peia, Domenico Ruccia, Christian Sacchi, Luhan Zheng, Luca Zurzolo

The 15 artists who participated in the exhibition offered us interesting, particular and extremely current works that made us reflect on a topic today extremely important.

If it had been for us we would have rewarded them all, but the public and the technical committee have expressed their preference towards Luca Zurzolo and Silvia Bellu.
